  • I've never been climbing before. Is a guided tour right for me?
    Absolutely! The majority of our trips are designed for beginner climbers. Our professional guides will choose routes that provide you with an appropriate level of challenge.
  • Do I need to be physically fit to climb?
    We believe that rock climbing can be accessible to every person and every body! Our guides will work with you and your specific needs to find the appropriate level of challenge for your trip.
  • Should I climb if I'm afraid of heights?
    Managing risk and fear is a core part of rock climbing. Our guides are well prepared to coach you through a fear of heights with careful, gradual exposure. Our goal is never to put anyone in over their head, but to support our clients in feeling strong and secure while climbing!
  • Do I need to have my own climbing gear?
    No! Your trip cost includes all of the high quality climbing gear you will need.
  • Can I bring my own climbing gear?
    You are welcome to bring your own shoes, harness and helmet if you prefer! Harnesses, helmets, and any other critical equipment will be thoroughly inspected by your guide before you are allowed to climb in them. If they are deemed unsafe to climb in, you will be provided with gear to borrow at no additional cost.
  • Should I tip my guide? How much?
    The short answer is: yes and as much as you want! Our guides work hard to provide you with an unforgettable experience. A standard tip is 10-20% of the total trip cost. For a more in-depth analysis of how and why to tip your outdoor guides, check out this article.
  • I have a group of mixed climbing ability. Can you offer a variety of difficulty levels?
    Yes! We are lucky to have beautiful climbing destinations that offer routes appropriate for both complete beginners and seasoned climbers.
  • What is the best climbing season in Santa Fe?
    You can climb in the Santa Fe area year round! Our guides agree that the Fall offers ideal conditions, but we are lucky to have over 300 sunny climbable days per year.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    To receive a full refund or a guaranteed opportunity to reschedule, you must notify us of the cancellation at least 72 hours before the scheduled time. You may cancel your trip for a 50% refund 36 hours prior to the scheduled time. We do not offer refunds for cancellations within 36 hours of the trip. If we have to cancel the trip for weather or any other reason you may reschedule or have your trip cost refunded.
